" For this mortal I would disobey my queen, abandon my king, the court that has protected me all these years. *end spoiler alert* There's just so much love I have for Leslie and I think that Leighton can portray both the character's soft, delicate side and her strong, independent side as well. She did what she knew was best even if it wasn't want she wanted, even if it meant staying away from the two people she loved. ![]() I loved that Leslie walked away and in doing so kept her independence and showed her strength. *spoiler alert* She was willing to walk away from both Niall and Irial despite how much she loved them and how much they loved her because she knew it wasn't good or healthy for her to be with either of them. There's this fragility to Leslie given her family situation and the things she goes through throughout the the book, but in the end I think she's the strongest of all the girls. There's this line that Irial says about how she was a bundle of terror and fury and I think that Leighton Meester has the acting chops to do exactly that. And Leslie is my favorite female character in the entire WL series. If anyone knows me at all they know I have an undying girl crush on Leighton Meester. "Sometimes love means letting go when you want to hold on tighter." ![]()
